WALL HANGING FOR NORTHERN BORDER FENCE

OUR ANSWER TO YOU IS PEACE!
This wall hanging by Yonina Lamdan was one the creations of over 120 artists from all over Israel.  They were hung on the Northern Border Fence, facing Lebanon, during the week of Chanukkah in the year 2000.  The initiative was by Chana Barak-Engels and the Kibbutz Bar-Am Museum.  Each artist received a piece of material, 4 meters X 1 meter, by mail, and returned the completed wall hanging for exhibit .  Yonina created her PEACE hanging from materials from the Urim factories, NOAM and SONREL, and she sewed them in order to enable the work to withstand the wind and rain of the Galil.
OUR ANSWER IS PEACE!

and a website was set up with them.
Yonina paints and sculpts on the subject of PEACE
and held an exhibition in December, 2000, in the TZIURIM
ART GALLERY in Kibbutz Urim: WINDOWS TO PEACE!
Some of the art works, in several media, will be shown here.
